Going the Extra Mile

Mark Rogerson, based at Duke Street’s RNIB office, has set himself the challenge of completing the world’s biggest marathons in aid of the charity’s commitment to challenging exclusion, inequality and isolation for those with sight loss.

Mark (pictured on the left with JB Leitch's Finance Director Andrew Taylor) has been taking on various challenges to raise money for the charity since his sight loss diagnosis in 2013, and has, to date, completed the Chicago, Berlin and London marathons as part of Team RNIB, raising over £20,000 so far.

As well as the London marathon next April, Mark is hoping to complete the remainder of the six most iconic running events in the world. He’ll be running in New York in November this year and has applied for places in both the 2020 Boston and Tokyo marathons. Mark could potentially be one of the first runners with sight loss to complete all six marathons.

JB Leitch is proud to support Mark’s ongoing efforts and commitment with Jonathan Leitch adding “Mark’s dedication is inspirational. His determination to raise awareness and reduce the barriers for people living with sight loss is admirable, and we are delighted to be able to continue supporting Mark and the wider RNIB team”.
