Ground Rent Demands
Change to Section 166 Notice
Landlords of long leases need to be aware that a minor alteration is needed to the ‘Notes for Leaseholders’ that form part of the demand Notice sent pursuant to Section 166 of the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002.
The amendment is required as from 1 July 2013 due to the change of entity from the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal to the First-tier Tribunal Property Chamber
In the Notes for Leaseholders, the second sentence of the second paragraph formerly referred to “…at a Leasehold Valuation Tribunal.” This reference should be altered to read “…at a Tribunal.”
